Choosing the right cookware

Which material for which use?

18/10 stainless steel is suited to healthy cooking and easy maintenance, valued in catering for its sturdiness. Cast aluminium heats up quickly and spreads heat well, while enamelled cast iron, as used on cast-iron casseroles, releases heat slowly for simmered dishes.

Is my cookware induction-compatible?

Not every item suits every heat source. For induction, check the compatibility marking and the magnetic base. Many pans and pots in this range work on all hobs, including induction.

Which size should you choose?

Diameter and capacity depend on the number of guests and the production volume. For professional use, favour large capacities in stockpots and pots; for a household, a frying pan and a few pans of complementary diameters are enough.

Maintenance and durability

Check dishwasher suitability, the resistance of non-stick coatings and the quality of rivets or handles. Lids and protection accessories extend the life of your cookware.
