Butter dish

A butter dish keeps butter at the right consistency and presents it cleanly at the table, from the family breakfast to restaurant service. Choosing the right butter dish

Which material to favour?

Glass and porcelain are easy to clean and are generally dishwasher safe, an advantage for regular service use. Porcelain brings a refined presentation to the table, while glass shows off the butter. Choose a model whose dome or lid protects the butter from the air.

Block or portions?

For home use, a dish for a 250 g block remains the most common. In hotels and at buffets, small individual butter dishes make service and hygiene easier. Check the inner dimensions so they match the butter format you use.
