Welcome to our Pillivuyt boutique, a French porcelain manufacture founded in 1818 by Jean-Louis-Richard Pillivuyt in Mehun-sur-Yèvre, in central France. More than two centuries later, Pillivuyt is one of the oldest porcelain manufactures still operating in France and one of the last to make its own paste from natural raw materials: kaolin, feldspar and quartz. The house was awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label in 2009, a French state distinction recognising outstanding craftsmanship.

Pillivuyt fires its porcelain at very high temperature (up to 1,400 °C), giving it characteristic hardness, whiteness and translucency. The house designs and produces all of its porcelain at Mehun-sur-Yèvre, making it a true French-made benchmark for the table.

What sets Pillivuyt porcelain apart?

Pillivuyt is one of the last French manufactures to formulate its own porcelain paste from kaolin (notably from Saint-Yrieix), feldspar and quartz. Firing at 1,400 °C produces hard, non-porous porcelain that does not chip and resists thermal shock.
