Choosing your glassware
Tempered glass or crystalline glass?
Tempered glass resists impacts and temperature changes better: it suits intensive hospitality service and frequent dishwashing. Crystalline glass (lead-free) offers the transparency and thin rim sought for wine tasting.
How to match the glass to the drink?
The shape of the glass affects how aromas are perceived: a tapered bowl concentrates the bouquet of a Wine glass, while a tall, narrow format preserves effervescence. For aperitifs, turn to Appetizer and cocktail glasses.
Which format for professional use?
Establishments favour stackable glasses or ranges sold in sets, easy to restock. Check dishwasher compatibility and the mechanical resistance stated by the manufacturer. Among the most popular ranges, the Picardie collection is the best-selling, alongside Bodega, Abeille and Open Up - Mikasa.
Should glasses match the rest of the table?
A consistent range makes table setting easier. You can coordinate glassware with Tableware and Cutlery, or equip your drinks area through the Bar section.
