Welcome to our Victorinox boutique, a Swiss cutlery manufacturer founded in 1884 in Ibach, in the canton of Schwyz, by Karl Elsener. Made famous worldwide by the invention of the Swiss officer's knife patented in 1897, the house coined its name in 1921 by combining Victoria (the founder's mother's first name) and Inox (stainless steel). Beyond the multi-tool Swiss Army knife, Victorinox is today a leading reference in professional kitchen cutlery, luggage and watches, with production still largely based in Ibach.

What is the difference between the Fibrox, SwissClassic, Rosewood and Grand Maître ranges?

The four kitchen ranges share the same Swiss steel quality but target different uses. Fibrox is the professional reference: textured polyamide handle, designed for long-shift use and dishwasher cycles. SwissClassic brings the Fibrox language into a consumer version. Rosewood swaps in a rosewood handle, warmer but less suited to dishwashing. Grand Maître is the premium forged range, with bolster and edge geometry refined for a chef's balance.

What makes the Fibrox handle a signature?

The Fibrox handle is a textured injected polyamide that keeps its grip even on wet surfaces or with greasy hands. It is ergonomic, hygienic (non-porous surface), dishwasher-safe and certified for professional kitchen use. This is one of the reasons Fibrox has become a de facto standard among kitchen brigades around the world.

Which Fibrox knife format should I choose for each cutting task?

The Fibrox range covers the essentials of a working kitchen. For the bulk of the work — slicing, dicing, chopping — a 19 or 20 cm chef's knife remains the central piece. For precision tasks (peeling, trimming, herbs), an 8 to 10 cm paring knife rounds out the set.
