What is the drip collar used for?

After each glass poured, a drop of wine tends to run down the bottle and stain the tablecloth. The drip collar is an absorbent ring placed around the neck that catches this drop. Essential for table service of a tannic wine or a full-bodied red.

How do you fit the collar?

Slip the collar around the neck just under the rim, in the low position. It must be snug to stay in place when pouring. After use, remove and rinse with clean water before storage to prevent wine residues from drying.

What care for this kind of accessory?
