The Peeler collection by Paderno brings together peelers in 18/10 stainless steel, in two complementary profiles: straight peeler and Y-shape swivel peeler.

What makes the Peeler collection distinctive

Paderno peelers are made of 18/10 stainless steel, professional dimension. The straight peeler (classic peeler knife) and the Y-shape peeler share the same function but with a different gesture: pulling towards yourself for the straight, gliding along the length for the Y. Both have a swivel blade to follow the vegetable's shape.

Choosing within the Peeler collection

Straight or Y profile: which to choose?

The straight profile is the traditional French peeler: pull the blade towards yourself along the vegetable. The Y profile, more international, glides flat across the vegetable for a quicker gesture. The Y is preferred for volume (peeling potatoes in quantity), the straight for precision and gesture control.

Why a swivel blade?

The swivel blade pivots slightly to follow the vegetable's curve: it ensures a regular cut without forcing or adjusting the grip. It is the evolution of the traditional fixed-blade peeler, which required more wrist work to match the shape.

Are these peelers dishwasher-safe?

18/10 stainless steel handles the dishwasher. To preserve the blade edge and avoid impact with other utensils, place the peeler flat in the basket or store it in the cutlery area. Dry on removal to preserve the steel look.
