Welcome to our Luminarc boutique, the French glassware brand born in 1948 in Arques, in the Pas-de-Calais region of northern France. Luminarc was the first consumer brand launched by Arc – a glassmaking group whose roots date back to 1825 – and democratised table glassware by offering accessible, sturdy and joyful collections. The name "Luminarc" itself comes from a barge acquired by Jacques Durand in 1939 to transport sand to the glassworks. Today, Luminarc equips millions of tables around the world with glasses, plates and bowls made using the glassmaking know-how of the Arques site.
