Welcome to our Libbey boutique, an American glassworks whose origins date back to 1818 with the New England Glass Company in Cambridge (Massachusetts). In 1888, Edward Drummond Libbey moved production to Toledo (Ohio), chosen for its silica and fuel resources, and the company was renamed Libbey Glass Company in 1892. The house has since become one of the largest tableware glass manufacturers in the world, behind several industrial firsts (first one-piece press-and-blow stemware, first automated lightbulb glass).
