What is the difference between cheese and sugar shakers?

Both versions share a similar geometry, but the lid perforation size differs: wider perforations for grated cheese (bulkier output), finer for caster sugar (light dusting). Use the right version for the product, otherwise the flow is not suited.

When do you use a shaker at service?

The cheese shaker is traditionally placed at the table with pasta or Italian soup, so each guest adjusts their dose. The sugar shaker is used for dessert plating or dining service (icing sugar on a tart, fine sugar on viennoiserie).
