Which material and capacity?

Stainless steel is preferred for its sturdiness and easy upkeep in intensive hospitality use; lighter food-grade plastic suits fast service and reduces noise. The capacity, given in centilitres, is chosen according to the bar's throughput: a large scoop speeds up filling glasses at peak times.

Which accessories to pair?

For a complete station, pair the scoop with an ice bucket and other ice cube accessories such as tongs and baskets. Together they organise service and respect hygiene rules.
