Created in 1475, La Rochère was born in France in the Vosges mountains, in the village of La Rochère. Specialist in glass work and more precisely in the manufacture of glass and crystal parts, La Rochère has been able to evolve to remain in line with its traditional values while adapting to the current needs of its customers. With all its experience, La Rochère obtained the french label "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" (Living Heritage Business)  in 2008 for its know-how and its exceptional quality glass pieces!

La Rochère glassware : the top notch quality, designed and trendy glassware for catering professionals and tableware lovers

The pioneer production of La Rochère glassware ensures the best quality and constantly renewed originality of its products. From handmade, mouth-blown crystalline glass to mechanical glass, from the reissue of 18th century models to the innovative creations of the youngest designers, La Rochère offers many glass or crystal collections to match all styles.

The two productions of mouth-blown glass and mechanical glass (including pressed, blown or centrifuged glass) do not require the same work from the master glassmaker and the same patience. This sometimes explains a price difference between certain products. However, both types of production can pride themselves on targeting the high-end glass and crystal industries. Created around values such as originality, friendliness and quality, La Rochère products are intended for hotel and restaurants professionals or private customers.

On AZ Boutique, you will find all our La Rochère products and glasses in our Tableware, Glassware, Bar and Kitchen sections.

The La Rochère glass technique: the passion of an ancestral know-how combined with the most advanced advanced technologies

Mouth blown glass and mouth blown crystalline glass: high technicality and craftsmanship of the master glassmakers for unique and sophisticated products

La Rochère mouth-blown glass made by master glassmakers and glassblowers requires a great mastery of the gestures and techniques that result from decades of craftsmanship. Did you know that it takes eight people with different tasks and professions to make a single glass? Two marble pickers, a moulder, a picker and a leg setter, a picker and a foot setter as well as an ark carrier, all these people are working on making the different parts of the stem glass : the gob, the leg and the foot. Each element that makes up glass requires a different manufacturing phase.

The decanters in blown-mouth cracked or plain crystalline Paname will look great on your table to serve water to your guests. To taste and enjoy all the aromas of your wines, bring a decanter made of blown crystalline glass from the Surcouf or Vendange collections.

Mechanical glass: trendy and design crockery, glassware, crystalware and barware accessories

The mechanical glass techniques of La Rochère Crystal glassware are not less complex than the manual techniques.

The pressed glass are manufactured on multi-mould presses. The pressed glass technique can be used to make glasses, candle holders, plates, ice cream cups, for example. Discover the water glasses, decanters, wine glasses, tea mugs from the Abeille or Libellule collection in decorated pressed glass. For a classic and chic design, choose the set of flat plates, round dishes and tasting glasses and champagne flutes from Périgord La Rochère. To bring chic aesthetics to your tables, choose the set of wine glasses, cocktail glasses and glass decanters from the Fleur de Lys collection. Our favorite article is the 27 cl glass mug from the Feuille de thé collection (Tea leaf design), which is resolutely design and trendy.

For mechanically blown glass, it is necessary to add steps in the process. To make a preform in a finishing mould so that it is blown afterwards before cooling the part is an essential part of the process. This glass design technique makes it possible to design glass decanters, mugs or cups. You are looking for refinement and finesse, melt for the Versailles tableware set and its baroque motifs, the Amboise wine glass inspired by Venetian glasses.

For salad bowls, vases, cups, we use centrifuged glass, a glass that is subjected to a centrifugal force to achieve its shape: this glass technique gives a more artisanal aspect to the pieces of glassware due to more or less regular edges.

The search for top-of-the-range design and original glass models: colored glass, bubbles, cracks for all styles

One of the other specificities of La Rochère design is its passion for the colour and glass decoration.

To design different parts in colored crystal, glassmakers use powder, grain and so mechanical parts are then tinted in the mass thanks to oxides added to the composition of the glasses. La Rochère thus offers collections with bright and unique colours that are dishwasher-safe and resistant to the wear and tear of time. Discover the blue Lagoon cups, the yellow and blue George Sand Romantic wine glass, the red, yellow and violet Bubble colored glasses or the water and wine glasses from the Lyonnais collection and their pretty amethyst violet shade.

La Rochère also uses other manufacturing techniques such as bubble glass, cracked glass or multi-layer sandblasted glass to add material effects and colour nuances to these glasses. Some glasses have gold edges and others are finely cut.

Discover the magnificent pieces of bubbled or cracked glass from La Rochère. For example, the magnificent 6L punch or sangria cup in mouth-blown bubble crystalline crystal from the Sangria collection or the Japanese inspired VVV La Rochère ice cream cups with a crackled effect that will bring charm and delicacy to serve your iced desserts.
