The coffee pot: some history!

A long time ago people did not have coffee pots and the coffee beverages were was then obtained by the technique of infusion or decoction. The coffee beans were grounded and roasted manually or in a coffee grinder.

The first coffee maker that appeared was the coffee percolator (percolation comes from a Latin word meaning to pass through). This technique consists in boiling water passing through the coffee very quickly. The coffee pot is composed of two parts, separated by a compartment, ground roasted coffee is put in one part. Hot water is poured inside in another part. The coffee is served once the water has passed through the ground coffee and thus becomes coffee flavored. It is also the percolation technique that is used in espresso coffee machines to obtain a good short coffee with strong and full-bodied aromas which Italians are fond of.

Other types of coffeemakers, mechanisms and techniques have emerged in the past, such as the vacuum coffee maker (which is very pretty to look at), the famous Italian coffeepot made from aluminum or stainless steel, Turkish coffeemaker, Russian coffeemaker, paper filter coffee maker, handy coffee maker and the famous electric coffee makers such as coffee pod and large coffee machines that can be found in bars.

Coffee pots are often made of borosilicate glass are resistant to thermal shocks and keep your drink warm for as long as possible and if you want to drink a cup of cappuccino or an espresso coffee for example, you can do it without having to warm up the coffee! Practical ain’t it?

Bodum French press , Filter Bodum coffee maker or Eternum stainless steel coffee pot: our most beautiful products!

Az Boutique you will find a large selection of coffee makers combining practicality and elegant design, including the black and metal French Press from Bodum. This glass and metal coffee pot has a built-in filter, the grind is deposited at the bottom of the container. Note that for this type of coffee maker you will need a coarse grind (you just need to put your coffee beans in a coffee grinder to get this result)! Boiling water is poured in and left to rest for at least 3 minutes. The coffee is then obtained by exerting a pressure on the piston so that the coffee separates from the marc. Enjoy a long coffee, an americano, or a good latte with the coffee maker. For full-bodied coffee lovers why not try an Italian coffee pot also called a Moka pot? Also find the stainless steel French-press from the Bodum Columbia Collection. Or maybe you prefer the very vintage charm of the Chambord French-Press?

You will soon realize that with our coffee machines, you will not need a paper filter anymore, because it will be integrated in the machine!

You can always choose a coffee maker and simply use it as a container for making coffee, or both ... The choice is yours.
