During the first use, it will be important to achieve a pre-washed of your blue iron products. Blue iron is a gross element, this step will help you to lubricate your article, protect it and prevent oxidation. To achieve this pre-washed, it is recommended to boil peels potatoes by covering them with water for 15 minutes. The starch that they will release will protect the material. Once this step is completed, it will be necessary to repeat the operation by heating a half inch of oil for 15 minutes. The material will be covered with a natural non-stick coating and become copper or black.
For everyday cleaning blue iron accessories, just use very hot water and a sponge. No detergent more or less abrasive shall be used. Finally, lightly wipe your product with a cloth. If you want to occasionally completely purify your blue iron products, heat coarse salt over high heat for 1 minute 30. Wipe without rinsing your cookware with absorbent paper.
After cleaning and before placing your product in a dry place, you can use a paper towel to oil the inside of your cookware.
